Job Description
“For the past 32 years, Gerhard’s café has been serving customers with since 1984, specialized in traditional design, the exquisite taste of Austrian and German-style desert, cakes, and pastry. Gerhard’s Cafe is located in Toronto, Ontario seeking a Pastry Baker.
The Ideal candidate will be responsible for the pastry baking and other responsibilities. The ideal Candidate will perform the following duties:
· Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
· Operate machinery
· Bake mixed doughs and batters
· Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods
· Ensure quality of products meets established standards
· Draw up production schedule to determine the type and quantity of goods to produce
Purchase baking supplies
· Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods
Skill Requirement:
Minimum of College’s Diploma in culinary art, pastry, bakery or a related field
Minimum 1 years of related experience
