“Status: Full Time
Department: Kitchen
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supervise cooks and food production on the lines.
Instruct cooks in preparation, garnishing and presentation of food and new cooking techniques.
Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
Planning: menus, food & labour budgets.
Assist in all areas of the Kitchen when required.
Estimate food requirements, portion control and costs.
Prepares requisition food and kitchen supplies.
Prepare and cook food when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to prioritize work quickly and works well under pressure.
Must be approachable and a team player; will share information knowledge and expertise.
Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
Makes decisions with own initiative while recognizing when consultation is necessary.
Possess a good balance of control with encouragement, coaching and motivation.
Creative and must be able to present new and innovative menu and food items.
Must demonstrate positive behaviors.
Excellent personal presentation.
Hilton Brand Standards must be adhered to at all times.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Will have a great deal of energy and enthusiasm.
EXPEREINCE and SKILLS:
Three years minimum experience in management role.
International kitchen experience an asset.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possess Red Seal Certification.
WORK SCHEDULE: Shifts will vary. Must be available to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check as part of our hiring process.”
