Our client is sourcing for a Manager, Shared Services for a 6 month contract.
About the Opportunity
MANAGEMENT
Supervise employees within the accounts payable, banking and cash application functions
Develop and train personnel to ensure proper backup exists within all of the functions
BANKING and CASH APPLICATIONS
Oversee the activities of the Cash Applications Clerks which include:
Prepare bank deposits and track all incoming payments for entry into Accounts Receivable cash receipts application, including inter-divisional cash receipts
Execute national and international transfers of funds between inter-divisional bank accounts
Prepare and input any cash-related journal entries, and prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
Execute and maintain records relating to the settlement of foreign currency hedging transactions
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team which include:
Accurate and timely processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expense reports
Processing of scheduled bi-weekly cheque runs as well as special cheque runs
INTERNAL CONTROL, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Maintenance of the accounting records in a timely, accurate and complete manner
Ensure that Financial Policies and Procedures are being adhered
About You
CPA designation
Minimum 5 years experience managing banking and accounts payable functions
Experience working in a Shared Services environment with AP Automation is essential
Excellent communication skills
Experience with an ERP system (preferably JD Edwards), with strong Excel skills and payroll systems are required
Strong analytical, financial reporting and accounting skills as well a continuous improvement orientation are key
Pay Rate
$45/hour
