Full-Time Catering Manager in Saskatoon
Job Description
“The Catering Manager maximizes hotel revenue by seeking out, identifying, and fully qualifying hotel group and catering business involving various market segments from mid to large size events/conferences, larger social events, etc.
The Catering Manager will provide efficient and professional service by anticipating guests needs, building relationships, and detailing their expectations through communication to other departments via proposals, contracts, resumes, and event orders.
The Catering Manager will report to the Director of Sales; however, all Catering Consultants will report directly to the Catering Manager with a dotted line to the Director of Sales.
The Catering Manager will be an effective leader to their team mentoring, coaching and developing the team.
As the Catering Manager you will be responsible for your own segments; however, as a leader you will support the team following the Just Book It philosophy in order to secure business promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years in a Catering Manager role or Senior Catering position
Food and Beverage knowledge necessary
Professional, confident, detail oriented and customer service focused
Ability to work under pressure; but able to remain flexible in an ever changing work environment
Proven time management and organizational skills
Exceptional computer skills with ability to adapt with ease to various programs
Proven leadership abilities”
