“The award winning OEB Breakfast Co. is looking for a Head Chef in Saskatoon!
Job Details: Head Chef will direct and control Culinary Operations while complying with all standards, policies and procedures set by OEB Breakfast Co and applicable government agencies. Through your excellent leadership long-term profitability will be maximized. This includes maintaining high morale within your team, executing and driving excellence in food quality, food preparation, cleanliness and enhancing the ongoing skills of your crew and management of the kitchen.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership, training and ongoing morale for a large culinary crew
Full kitchen execution and quality assurance
Inventory management
Scheduling
Periodic weekly and monthly reporting regarding labour, food cost, etc
Qualifications and Experience
Red Seal Certification
Experience managing a culinary team in a high volume, fast paced environment
Food Safe Certified
Experience with management of inventory, food cost, labour, variable costs, prep procedures, etc
Knowledge and compliance with government health and safety standards
Leadership Skills – people development and motivation, technical culinary skills training, policy and procedure management, time management, problem solving
Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Self-motivated and driven personality with exceptional communication skills
Adaptable, reliable and high-energy individual with excellent administration skills
Ability to achieve short and long-term business goals
