Job Description

“SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts – one of Canadas leading hotel management companies is looking for a Restaurant Manager (Full time  Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage) for the Aroma Resto Bar at the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon.

Reporting to the Director  Food and Beverage, the Restaurant Manager will manage a full-service Restaurant, In Room Dining and Lounge; achieving revenue, profit and customer satisfactions goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
– Direct, supervise and develop the outlets team members.
– Maintain effective employee relations by conducting regular team meetings.
– Recruit, train, and evaluate all employees to ensure a high standard of service.
– Develop and execute corporate and in-house promotions as related to Food & Beverage.
– Achieve budget forecasts, revenue and profit goals.
– Ensure food and beverage cost controls are in place and followed.
– Maximize productivity through proper budgeting, scheduling and cost control.
– Ensure that all restaurant associates have obtained legislated training.
– Ensure month-end procedures are completed, including inventories, costing and analysis.
– Program and maintain Micros point of sale system.
– Ensure superior cleanliness and quality for the outlets.
– Other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:
– Must have a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a manager in a high volume food and beverage operation.
– A certificate/diploma in Hospitality Management.
– A strong foundation in communication and Leadership skills that can be built on.
– Proven track record in revenue growth, promotions and training.
– Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
– Previous budget and forecasting experience.
– Inspirational & motivational.
