JOB SUMMARY:
This occupation helps to build the Delta Edmonton Centre Suites experience for our customers through a ‘customer comes first’ attitude by providing hands-on timely quality service, exceptional value, and a superior product. Reporting to the Food and beverage Team Leaders, the Server is responsible for the efficient, prompt, courteous provision of food and beverage services to our guests meeting Delta Edmonton Centre Suites standards. The position is accountable for modeling and acting in accordance with the Delta’s Core Values and Code of Ethics.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages financial transactions
Uses up-selling and suggestive selling approaches
Courteously takes guest food and beverage orders and promptly delivers meals
Investigates all guest inquiries in a timely fashion to provide the highest possible service
Inspects table sections and workstations to ensure proper set?up and organization
Performs side duties as required
Performs section and station checks at shift end
Ensures a clean, safe, hazard?free work environment
Attends departmental meetings
Works as a host(ess), busperson or server in other departments as required
SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
ProServe Certification
Food Safety Certificate
eMerit Certification as a F&B Server a definite asset
Knowledge of Micros Point of Sales system
Minimum 1 year experience in a restaurant setting
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
