Full-Time Server – food and beverage services in Thunder Bay
Job Description
” Position Summary:
Must adhere to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and other municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and maintain an open door policy with all employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures. Is responsible to perform all tasks related to food & beverage service in an efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with internal control policies and procedure manual.
Major Responsibility Areas:
Responsible to perform all tasks related to food and beverage service in an efficient and professional manner.
Perform a walk through at shift change with new servers and inform them of any events.
Maintain section for cleanliness (removal of dirty dishes, empty glasses, etc.) and the serving of patrons efficiently and accurately in accordance to Internal Control Manual policies and procedures.
Serving of patrons on the gaming floor (maintain area for cleanliness, removal of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.).
Maintains a waiting list sheet during busy periods for line-up situations.
Assists with clearing and setting tables and with any other Food and Beverage duties assigned.
Responsible to assign and escort guests to their table while maintaining a table floor plan indicating empty and full tables.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest calibre of guest service to all patrons, employees and OLG personnel.
Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
All other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a High School diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
Requires experience in related field of one (1) or more years. The ability to work and excel in a fast paced large volume business.
Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
Must have previous restaurant experience in a casino environment.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration:
Requires Registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant through the AGCO.
