Woodbine Entertainment Group is seeking a customer service oriented individual to join our Racing Hospitality team at Mohawk Racetrack. This position will be responsible for the preparation and service of various beverages, maintenance of clean bar areas and equipment and replenishing inventory stock levels as required. Success in this role will be demonstrated through your courteous demeanor, outstanding and knowledgeable service and your ability to exceed guest expectations!

In this role, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Customer Service: Consistently deliver excellence in service, product presentation venue image
.Deliver, maintain and exceed customer service quality standards as established by Hospitality Department
.Demonstrate courtesy, commitment and professionalism
.Maintain a positive attitude and provide friendly, professional and enthusiastic service at all times
.Prepare and present beverages for guests
.Ensure drinks are made as per set recipes
.Adhere to Smart Serve and Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations
.Present in full uniform at all times while on duty
.Demonstrate accurate knowledge of pricing and products offered
.Cover breaks for co-workers as scheduled by Supervisor
.Consistently uphold and demonstrate safety rules and standards as designated by Hospitality Department
.Attend staff meetings / training as required to advance knowledge of menu , specials, new product / promotions customer service procedures / initiatives
Product / Inventory: Organize, operate and control bar to consistently deliver timely service and quality products
.Serve bottled beverages, mixed drinks and beverages from dispensing bar
.Manage bar/depot set up including cleaning, organizing and stocking
.Consistently present and maintain clean and neat work area
.Use all equipment for its intended purpose in a safe manner
.Clean and maintain equipment
.Record sales and process payments
.Assume responsibility for all cash shortages
.Maintain and control bar stock as per set par levels
.Conduct inventory and complete assigned check lists
.Dismantle, clean, close and lock bar and secure product at end of shift
.Complete all paperwork and reporting required for location including shift inventory
.Report all voids and spillages to Supervisor
We are seeking talented individuals with:
.Minimum 1 year experience in the service industry
.Basic wine and liquor knowledge
.Bartending experience in Food and beverage industry
.Recognized Bartending certificate or equivalent experience
.Responsible for obtaining and maintaining Smart Serve certification
.Basic arithmetic skills
.Ability to read and write English
.Ability to stand / walk for 8 hour period
.Available to work over-night shifts
.Able to lift/hold and carry thirty (30) pounds for extended periods of time
.Must be able to work in a noisy environment
This is a part-time hourly position based out of Mohawk Racetrack. The hours of work may include over-nights, weekends and holidays as required.
