QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum 3 years experience in Food & Beverage service, with minimum of 2 years experience in a high
volume Banquet/Catering environment
-Excellent wine and food knowledge and solid knowledge of all room set ups and service types
– Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field a definite asset
-Must have Pro Serve certification
-Must have a flexible schedule as weekends and evening shifts are needed
-Outstanding team player, able to motivate and support employees
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest service skills
-Must be a self-starter with strong organizational & administrative skills RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Maintain excellent Delta service standards including Meeting Maestro and Community Codes throughout the Banquet Department
-Maintain cleanliness of all area even when not in use
-Maintain service and maintenance checklists
-Assist in ensuring Health & Safety standards are met at all times
-Over see and maintain room set ups according to Delta Standards
-Coordinate effectively with Kitchen, catering and other departments
-Act as a resource for service associates when addressing service/guest issues
-Assist in training, performance reviews, scheduling, payroll/daily sales and labour, inventory,
-Ensure profitability of the Banquet Department through effective management of employees, labour, and inventory
-Participate actively in a multi-functional, team environment
-Be supportive of creativity and innovation, and maintain a high level of professionalism and quality service”
